Skating is HARD!!
They know how to "walk" in skates. They just haven't got the gliding in skates down. I can't figure out how to explain it to them. I showed them what my feet do (no, I wasn't wearing skates) but telling someone how to skate is kind of like telling someone how to walk. You just do it.
Poor Vanessa thinks she should be able to do everything perfectly the first time. Saying 'it takes practice' does not comfort her.

whew......
So let me try to explain what just happened.
Earlier in the evening Vanessa was upset because the colored egg she made to leave for the Easter Bunny had cracked. We made other arrangements for the Easter Bunny and then we told her put the egg in fridge and we'll deal with it tomorrow.
Tony and I were sitting in the living room watching TV. Vanessa and Harley had camped out in the playroom for the night. They had both been asleep for nearly an hour when I look over and Vanessa was opening the fridge and getting the egg out. I asked her what she was doing. She didn't answer.
Then I see her pull down her pants and sit on the chair in the kitchen!
She thought she was sitting on the toilet. I hurried her off to the bathroom before any accidents.
Not completely sure why she got the egg. I know she was upset that it was cracked but the sequence of events is just bizarre.
Man, I haven't seen anything that funny in a long time!

New Specs
The biggest compliment to me? "Are they prescription?" Asking someone who is blind as a bat if their glasses are prescription is a huge compliment!!
Of course, everyone loves the lilac too!
