Pictures, Pictures and More Pictures!!

Adrienne holds her bottle for the first time.

Vanessa's last day in Ballet for the 2007-2008 year.

Adrienne eating cereal for the very first time. She wasn't a fan. Now, she eats like she's going to the chair!

Harley's birthday party.
Adrienne likes to keep her hands in a prayer mode a lot of the time. She is a member of our family, so she needs the prayers!
Gone Fishin'!
My brother, Scott, takes the girls fishing for the first time.

The only thing that was caught that day....tree branch.Adrienne chilling with Aunt Lisa and cousin Amanda while we were fishing.

Just a cute picture of Adrienne holding her ear closed while sleeping.
Vanessa and Harley's Pre-School graduation ceremony. Vanessa top right, Harley bottom far left. I really wish they would have stood together!
No idea what the glowing white mass is in front of Vanessa, but her face makes me laugh.
We're dancing.
Okay, so Vanessa decided to dress up like a clown (it's Harley's Halloween costume from last year) Here they are making faces. Pay no attention to the laundry I'm doing in the background!!!
The following pictures show the girls trying to 'belly-bump'. There were some misses, but they were REALLY having fun. Remember laughing like this?

FUNNIEST PRAYER I'VE HEARD IN A LONG TIME

The girls and I said our prayers last night at bedtime. I always start. Then it was Vanessa's turn. Finally Harley's turn came. This was part of her prayer"

"Please don't let Uncle Scott be crazy with his beard"

huh?

Ok. A-men!

OH RUDOLPH, WITH YOUR NOSE SO BRIGHT...

The weekend of the 4th we were outside a lot. It was a nice weekend, but full of mosquitoes. I received over 20 mosquito bites. Vanessa had 5, Harley had 2 and, thankfully, Adrienne had none.

Even though I had numerous bites, I really felt for Vanessa. She had a bite on the side of her nose. It swelled up so that her nose was crooked and by then end of the day her nostril was almost completely closed. (see pic below)

I even sent a picture to my sister-in-law who is an R.N. She advised to put a warm compress on it and keep an eye on it. I did that and also put some hydrocortisone on it. The next day it started looking better. We put the cream on her for a few more days. About Thursday we stopped. It was still a little discolored but the swelling had gone away.

Yesterday, her nose was swollen again. (see pic below)

That didn't seem right. I took her to the doctor. Dr. Laura asked Vanessa if she put anything up her nose. Vanessa answers "Well, I have to tell you...........I did." I was shocked. So we ask her what. Finally she says she didn't really put anything up her nose, she was just trying to be funny. That preceded a discussion about what is an appropriate joke and what is not and how we do not joke at the doctor's office.

Turns out, Dr. Laura couldn't explain the swelling either. We're trying some allergy medicine.

BUNNY SLIPPERS!

I received these adorable bunny slippers from a friend at work at the shower they threw for me in January.

I didn't think they would fit her yet, but they do. How adorable are they?!
